CELTIC No2 Chris Davies has warned West Ham Moussa Dembele is NOT for sale – even for £20million.
The Hammers were last night preparing to launch a sensational mega-money move to sign 19-goal Hoops star Dembele.
But Davies insists the Scottish champions are not interested in opening negotiations over the French superkid.
He said: “It’s definitely well below his valuation, that’s for sure. The manager spoke pretty clearly on that situation previously.
“There has been no formal bid or anything like that. It is at the moment speculation but it’s well below the valuation of the club.
“The message has been pretty clear from the manager, he spoke about it last month. For us, we know this is the best place for Moussa to develop and improve.
“He is still 20-years-old, he has development left in him.
“He has had a fantastic first six months, he has absolutely loved it and there is so much more to come from us as a team and for Moussa Dembele at Celtic. That’s what we’re concentrating on.
“Obviously, when you are doing well and especially when you are a striker, then there is going to be big money and talk thrown about a lot, especially during transfer windows.
“But we can’t control that, we just have to concentrate on trying to develop him as a player.
“Moussa is happy and we are working hard, and that’s that.”

Sorry Jaye but I still don't follow. The asst manager of Celtic said there had been no interest shown in Dembele. WH said they had not bid for Dembele but you are blaming them for showing an interest in January?
As I say I just don't follow your post?

Thing is who is the player from Scotland that we bid £20m for if it isn't Snodgrass which is what Jinxed said?

Asst Manager at Celtic just said there had been no interest expressed and the player is worth much more than the reported £20m. One of these days our owners will catch on to the fact that the summer is the time to strike deals and not January when every club has you over the preverbial barrel.

I think we can safely rule out Snodgrass as the £20m bid at this stage.
I still can't see any other explanation than Dembele. And that the denials are simply the usual squirming from football clubs trying to conceal bids. Which in our case was a bit stupid as we announced a mystery bid that only really fits one player from or in Scotland! Oops!

I assumed Snodgrass was worth £20m if we bid £20m for him but that isn't my personal opinion.
You on the other hand kept saying it was Dembele after the denials had been published yesterday on Sky and even denied that Sky was right while Claret & Hugh was reliable.
Anyway getting ready for the game now so fuck off back under your stone.

It isn't Dembele FFS! Mousa Dembele is Belgian not from Scotland. WH have denied it and The Insider says a player from Scotland not a player in Scotland.
Surely it has to be Snodgrass as there aren't any Scottish footballers worth 20m!
